cdia_logoSince 2005, the Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts (http://www.cdiabu.com) has been supporting both state and national SkillsUSA contests by providing scholarships to all 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in art-based contests.

These contestants exemplify the best in career & technical education throughout the country. There is a very clear relationship between the educational philosophy of career & technical education, SkillsUSA and CDIA. All are dedicated to providing an educational experience that mimics the realities of the industry in terms of time, technical, and professional requirements. That is why we are proud to help encourage students throughout this country to pursue their career dreams in the arts & communications.

"I have been involved with many state and national art contests throughout this country and have seen some of the most creative and talented students coming out of the SkillsUSA contests. Even though the number of contestants competing at the national level is less than 50 (1 per state), the total number of students going back to the local level surpasses even those contests that claim to have the largest number of contestants by a large margin." (Bill Chenaille, Director of Education, Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts)

CDIA offers a $5,000 scholarship to all 1st, 2nd & 3rd place state winners in the following contests: 3D Animation - Advertising Design - Audio Production - Broadcast News Prod. - Graphic Communications - Promo Bulletin Board - Pin Design - Photography - TechPrep: Arts - TV/Video Production - Video Product Development, and Web Design. In addition, CDIA adds an additional $5,000 scholarship to all National 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners bringing their total scholarship to $10,000.
